Frequently Asked Questions

  • None.

Seriously. You do not need to "get in shape" before joining The Gang. That's what we're here for.

We coach everyone from competitive athletes to people who've never touched a barbell or stepped foot inside a gym.

No matter where you're starting, we'll meet you there, help you build confidence, and support you every step of the way.

  • It happens all the time! Life gets busy, and we want your training to fit into your life, not the other way around.

With plenty of training times available each week, you're welcome to attend another session that works better for your schedule. All we ask is that you text your Lead Trainer beforehand so they know to expect you and can make sure you're fully supported.

  • Most of our clients travel at some point during the program, and we don't want that to stop your progress.

Your program includes access to travel workouts! Just let your Lead Trainer know how long you'll be away and what equipment you'll have access to, whether that's a full hotel gym or nothing at all, and we'll build workouts that fit your trip.

  • We don't offer drop-ins or class passes, and that's intentional.

At The Gang, our focus is helping you build real strength and see lasting results. That means following a structured training program that progresses week after week, not doing random workouts.

There are lots of great studios in Winnipeg that offer drop-ins, but our schedule is built specifically for our registered clients so we can give them the coaching, attention, and consistency they deserve.

  • We know 14 weeks sounds like a long time, but that's exactly why it works.

Real strength, confidence, and lasting change don't happen in 30 days. They come from showing up consistently, learning new skills, and building habits that actually stick.

Our programs are designed so you can complete three each year, and the difference we see in our clients from one year to the next is incredible.

  • Injuries are frustrating, but they don't always mean you have to stop training.

As long as your healthcare provider has cleared you for exercise, your Lead Trainer will modify your workouts to meet you where you're at. Sometimes that means changing a few movements. Other times it means creating an entirely different workout.

Every injury is different, and we're committed to helping you continue moving safely while supporting your recovery.

  • This is probably our most common question.

Over 80% of our clients join The Gang on their own, and around 25% of every program is made up of people who have never done it before.

We'll pair you with another new client as your Accountability Partner, and over those first few weeks you'll naturally get to know your team. Before long, it feels less like walking into a gym and more like walking into a room full of close friends, especially because you train with the same people every session.

Our returning clients remember exactly what it felt like to be new, and they do an incredible job of making everyone feel welcome.

  • Absolutely!

Once you've built consistency with your regular schedule, you're welcome to attend a bonus full body strength workout each week at either Gang location.

It's completely included in your program, optional, and designed to complement the rest of your weekly program.

  • Not at all!

Returning clients always get first access to register for the next program before registration opens to the public.

That means you'll have priority access to your preferred schedule, plus you'll receive our reduced continuing client rate.

Once you're part of The Gang, we're here to help you keep progressing year after year.

  • Congratulations!!

Absolutely. All of our Lead Trainers are certified in pre and postnatal fitness, and we love supporting moms through every stage of pregnancy.

We'll modify your workouts as your body changes and help you train safely so you can continue feeling strong throughout your pregnancy.

  • Not even a little.

Our clients range from their 20s all the way into their 70s, with most falling between 30 and 60 years old.

Whether you're just getting started or you've been active your whole life, we'll meet you where you're at.

  • Perfect. You don't need any experience before joining The Gang.

One of our favourite things is introducing women to strength training for the very first time. We'll teach you everything you need to know, from how to use the equipment to proper lifting technique and gym etiquette.

You'll attend a Lifting Seminar before the program begins, and throughout the program your Lead Trainer will coach you every step of the way.

You don't need to know what you're doing before you arrive. That's our job, and we’re so excited to teach you.

  • We want every client to have the best possible experience from day one.

Before each program begins, we carefully build every team, assign Lead Trainers, organize schedules, and prepare for your Lifting Seminar. Once the program starts, registration closes so everyone can begin together and progress as a team.

Planning ahead allows us to create the experience our clients know and love.

  • We know we're not the right fit for everyone, and that's okay.

If you attend at least 80% of your training sessions and genuinely don't feel The Gang is for you, we'll happily refund your program.

Once the program starts, you are responsible for paying for your program (through the payment option of your choice) because we're no longer able to fill your spot. Your commitment allows us to plan staffing, facilities, and everything that goes into creating an incredible experience for every client.

Of course, we'll always work with clients facing serious medical circumstances.

  • Absolutely!

We work with healthcare professionals, first responders, and shift workers of all kinds.

Book a call with one of our Lead Trainers, and we'll help build a schedule that works around your shifts so you can enjoy the same experience as every other Gang member.
